Patient Resources

Welcome to Onslow Pulmonology Associates. In an effort to accommodate our patients and provide the best possible care, we have formulated and practice the following policies:

Appointment Information

We ask that all new patients arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment. Please bring with you:

  • All of your current prescriptions in their bottles (this includes: if you are on portable oxygen therapy, nebulizer medications and all inhalers) and any over the counter medications
  • Any radiological studies (MRI, CT or X-Ray) on a disk with the printed radiology report
  • Insurance card(s) and picture ID
  • Medical records regarding your care for this issue
  • Your picture will be taken at the front desk for identification purposes
  • Co-Pays and Cost Shares are expected at the time of service

We ask that you please arrive fifteen minutes prior to your appointment time.

To confirm your appointment date and time, please contact the clinic at 910-577-4968. Reminder calls are made electronically 48-72 hours prior to your appointment.

Please cancel appointmentsas soon as possible. (24 hours in advance of your appointment time is appreciated) If you miss 3 (three) appointments without calling in advance to cancel your appointment, you risk being disengaged from the practice. We have a NO-SHOW fee of $25.00 if you fail to notify us that you won’t be at your scheduled appointment. This fee will need to be paid before we re-schedule.

Because our providers are on call for the Emergency Room at Onslow Memorial Hospital, we sometimes need to reschedule your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule when setting a new appointment time.

In order to serve our patients in a timely manner we adhere strictly to our schedule. If you are fifteen minutes late for your appointment, we may ask you to reschedule to another date and time.

If you have any special needs or requirements, please make sure that you bring these to the attention of our staff before your scheduled appointment time. Courtesy wheelchairs are available for your use.

Please be advised that prescription refills may take up to 72 business hours. Not all medications can be called into the pharmacy, and will need to be picked up by the patient. We will not refill medications after clinic hours, or during weekends or holidays.

Please do your best to silence your cell phones upon entering our practice to better serve you and our patients.

Billing & Insurance

We accept most major insurances. Always check with your insurance company before selecting a physician.

All insurance co-payments and deductibles are due at the time of service.

As a patient, you are a partner in your care. Consequently, you have rights and responsibilities. Click here to download printable versions of our Patient Rights and Responsibilities form.
